This weekend looks like an Indian Summer has arrived, and perfect weather for a football party! Call your friends over for the NFL games on your big screen, but don’t forget to call Benjies Deli to cater the party so you don’t have to lift a finger.
Are your friends ready-made sandwich types, or do they like to build their own creation, Dagwood style? Either way, Benjies has the deli platter for you. Starting with the ready-made—why go to Subway when you can get wonderful sandwiches made in a New York deli, even when you’re in California? Subway can’t touch the superior quality or flavor of our ingredients. We love our 16″ sandwich that’s made on a ring-shaped sesame French roll, filled with thinly sliced turkey and Black Forest ham, provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, bell pepper, oil and vinegar, mustard and mayonnaise. Of course, we can add or subtract any of those ingredients to make a perfectly customized sandwich for you and your friends. It serves 10-12 normal people, so if your friends have big appetites, order accordingly. If your friends will be so focused on the game that they can’t even be bothered to cut off a sandwich, get the Sandwich Platter, where we make a selection of sandwiches from your choice of deli meats and cheeses or egg, tuna or chicken salads. This platter also comes with coleslaw, potato salad, pickles and condiments.
For the build-their-own bunch, we’ve got a huge selection. The Cold Cut Buffet lives up to its name with your choice of four of the following: corned beef, roast beef, pastrami, turkey pastrami, turkey, ham or salami; a choice of two cheeses; side dishes of coleslaw, potato salad and pickles; relishes and condiments; and finally, rolls and breads to start construction of the perfect sandwich. For something more simple, we have our platters of chopped liver, egg salad, chicken salad or tuna salad, all served with rye bread—the liver comes with sliced onions, in true deli style. For those in a fishy mood, we’ve got a Smoked Fish Platter and the Lox Platter. The Smoked Fish Platter is piled with lox, whitefish, barbecue cod and creamed herring with cream cheese, Greek olives, sliced tomatoes, red onions and assorted bagels for a wonderful selection of flavors. For those who just like the lox, no problem. The Lox Platter is all lox, with the appropriate complements of red onions, cream cheese and tomatoes, with Greek olives and sliced, assorted bagels to spread it all on.
Looking for more finger food? We’ve got that too. From deviled eggs to salami cornucopias, from chicken fingers to egg rolls, we got you covered. Covered, you say? In sauce? Yep, we’ve got hot wings in spicy sauce, plus meatballs in your choice of barbecue or Swedish-style sauce. What about for those dainty guests? We have the Cubed Salami and Cheese Tidbit Tray or the Cocktail Sandwich Platter for those with a smaller appetite.
And don’t forget, if your team is not playing on regular TV channels, we’ve got it down at Benjies. Where do you go to watch NFL Sunday Ticket in Orange County? Benjies’ Bamboo Lounge! See the listings of the games playing this weekend below.
