It’s Time to Watch March Madness at Benjies Deli!

It's NCAA March Madness at Benjies Deli!

For just one month out of the year, you can go totally mad with basketball and still be considered quite normal. That’s right, March Madness has everyone stirred up, both for casual and life-long fans. College teams across the nation are battling it out for the Championship, and there is only one place where you can view it in beautiful HD with the benefit of a full-on bar.

That’s right—our Bamboo Lounge at Benjies Deli is fired up with our big screens awaiting to broadcast your favorite teams. This year the brackets will light up with teams such as Michigan State, North Carolina and Xavier. Each one has been in this same position previously throughout the decade and is predicted to be fighting hard to eliminate past hurdles.

By the same token, Ohio State, Kentucky and Syracuse are some of the main underdogs who never seem to fully extend into the bracket. Ohio might be able to scrape on through with their 10.5 points, but Syracuse has been around the block four times since 2001. In addition, Kentucky is still hanging in there with 9-3 ATS in 12 seasons against the Hoosiers and is also favored to win Tournament MVP with Anthony Davis.  Follow that up with the victories from teams such as Indiana and the Cincinnati Bearcats, and you got yourself a mighty fine struggle for power.

And that is just the sports side of things. If you have not heard yet, the University of North Dakota is under fire from the NCAA for the use of the name “Fighting Sioux” and logo on their team uniforms. The nickname was approved by North Dakota legislation, but the NCAA refuses to accept the name because their policies view it as hostile to Native Americans. A state-wide vote will be held in June to determine whether or not the name will be dropped, but in the meantime, the University of North Dakota may become exempt from the games and be required to reimburse the NCAA for all transportation, food and similar fees.

So whether it’s the games themselves, the controversies, or the player interviews, we have it all at Benjies Deli. Grab a delicious, super-stacked sandwich or deli plate off our food menu, fill up a pint, and get ready to go crazy for your favorite team. And, don’t forget—if you’re having a party at your house, Benjies can cater. We’ve got sandwich and deli platters, appetizer and finger food trays and even full-on hot dinners for you and your friends! You cheer on your favorite teams and leave Benjies to work in the kitchen. Let the March Madness truly begin!
