Get Your Deli Platters for Superbowl Sunday!

Superbowl XLV

The clock is ticking on the final countdown to the Superbowl, and after last week’s Playoffs, fans from Philly and Wisconsin sure are looking forward to February 6th.

So the clock is also ticking on the time needed for catering. Benjies Deli has been taking a lot of orders for sandwich trays and deli platters for the big day. Countless eggs will be subjected to deviling, wings stripped from hot and spicy buffaloes and barbecue sauce applied liberally to tasty balls of meat.

If you want to have scrumptious Benjies New York Deli goodness at your home on the big day, then give us a call now to make sure we can fill your order. Let Benjies do all the work for you! Let’s face it—your wife will either be out shopping or, if she’s a fan, she’s going to want to watch the game, not make sandwiches for your buddies.

Here’s an idea: clear the coffee table and measure it. Then call Benjies New York Deli and order up a combination of sandwich fixin’s and finger food. Pick it up before your friends come over for your Superbowl party, unwrap the platters, and wait to see your friends’ eyes light up when they come in! (more…)

Benjies and the Jets

The NFL Playoffs are here!

Well, after yesterday’s games, we’re narrowing down the teams that will grace the field in Arlington, TX in two weeks time. Many of our “bird” teams have flown the Superbowl coop, including the Seahawks, the Ravens and the Falcons. And seeing as how our nation’s bird is the eagle, perhaps there’s a link there with the Patriot’s loss.

So next weekend we’ll see how the New York Jets do against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Green Bay Packers will battle the Chicago Bears for the honor of going to football’s ultimate showdown. Sounds like there will be time spent in front of the television, and we know what that means. Snacks. Oh yeah, lots of snacks. (more…)

SuperBowl Approaches!!

February 6th marks a very special annual event in the male (and many female!) calendar. Cue dramatic music….yes, it’s the Superbowl!

This year marks Superbowl 45 and, although we don’t know who exactly will be playing, we do know that the Dallas Cowboys will be hosting. Hosting, I said, not playing on the field. Maybe next year, Cowboys! (more…)

Watch the Pittsburgh Steelers at Benjies Deli this Sunday

Now that Hanukkah is over, we can get back to the important things in life. This weekend, there’s another great lineup of bone-crushing NFL football to watch. But unless you’ve got Sunday Ticket, you could miss your favorite team, and that’s no good at all.

So why not get down to Benjies Deli and settle in at the Bamboo Lounge for six screens of awesome, high-definition football with their DirecTV Sunday Ticket lineup? You’ll get to eat all of Benjies’ superb food–and remember, those Jewish favorites like latkes and brisket are still being served, even after Hanukkah‘s over–and take advantage of the Bamboo Lounge’s full bar. It’s nearly impossible to watch football, or any sport for that matter, without beer. Am I right?

The experts are agreed on several predictions on winners this weekend; the San Francisco 49ers, the New York Jets, the New Orleans Saints, the New York Giants, the Baltimore Ravens, the Denver Broncos, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the San Diego Chargers seem to all have unanimous picks for wins by the ESPN experts. If both New York teams win, it will mean a big party in the Big Apple on Sunday night. (more…)

The Best Place to Watch NFL Sunday Ticket Games in Orange County!

Watch bone-crushing NFL football at Benjies!

Calling all football fans! Benjies Deli has the NFL Sunday Ticket DirecTV service, so you can see all of the games you want to watch. We turn on all six screens in the Bamboo Lounge, so there’s more than one game to watch at a time.

Why come to Benjies Deli to watch the game instead of staying at home? Do you really have to ask that question? First of all, we have cold beer on draft and a full bar in the Bamboo Lounge—we bring the drinks to you and don’t sulk about it. There will be a cold beer at your side the entire length of the game.

Secondly, we’ve got all the delicious, football-game snacks you could ask for! Looking for just something to munch on? Try our delicious seasoned curly fries or our generously full basket of thick-cut onion rings. Need something a little more spicy? Order our chili-cheese fries, smothered in our delicious chili con carne and topped with gooey, melted cheese, or our jalapeño poppers stuffed with cream cheese, breaded and deep fried until they’re nice and crispy. And don’t forget our famous Buffalo hot wings, served with celery sticks and creamy ranch dressing. We think it’s only proper to eat your Buffalo wings as you cheer on the Buffalo Bills as they play against the New York Jets—the game starts at 10AM Sunday (that’s 1PM EST).

Feeling a little more refined? We have calamari rings or mozzarella sticks served with marinara sauce; chicken tenders with ranch dressing or barbecue sauce; and three Kobe beef sliders with potato chips on the side.

But what about those of us with a real appetite, you ask? Oh, don’t you worry. Benjies has you covered. Are you man (or woman) enough to try one of our monster Triple-Decker Sandwiches? There’s six to choose from, all served with our famous Russian dressing: the #1, turkey, ham and Swiss; the #2, corned beef, salami ans Swiss; the #3, corned beef, pastrami and salami; the #4, a delicious, classic Club Sandwich; the #5, our most popular—corned beef, pastrami and Swiss; and finally, the #6, corned beef, turkey and tongue. All of the Triple-Decker Sandwiches are served on your choice of bread or roll and with your choice of coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, fresh fruit or French fries.

If that’s not big enough for you, we’ve got a hot meatloaf sandwich or the open-face hot brisket of beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. That’s some rib-sticking goodness! Missing the stadium catering? Don’t worry, we’ve got Coney Island hot dogs, Coney Island chili dogs and the awesome Francheesy dog: a grilled knackwurst, crisp bacon and American cheese on a grilled onion roll.

There’s 13 games on Sunday to watch, so you’ll need some serious refreshments. And no one does it better than Benjies Deli! Come on down to 1828 N. Tustin Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705 and head on in to the Bamboo Lounge for football fever.
