It’s an exciting Superbowl this season, now up to its 47th year. And we have a California team in the game—the San Francisco 49ers, and they’re favored to win! Sorry Baltimore Ravens— we know that Ray Lewis would probably implode if they won the game, and he is deserving of the win on his eve of retirement—but we’re rooting for the 49ers.
So, what are you planning for Superbowl Sunday? The weather forecast for Southern California makes it look like a planning barbecue will be a great idea. (Again—sorry fans in the rest of the country! We’re really blessed here!)If you’re thinking of hosting one, don’t forget about our awesome Nathan’s World Famous Hot Dogs that you can serve up alongside your barbecued burgers, plus all sorts of appetizers for snacking during the game. Our deviled eggs are famous across the state, and we offer the traditional Superbowl snack items, like Hot Wings or Barbeque Meatballs by the dozen. Other hors d’oeuvres include chicken fingers, mini chicken egg rolls or the Cubed Tidbit Cheese & Salami tray. Order now so we can make sure your order is ready for you on the big day!
But what if you’re invited to a party? Well, don’t be rude and show up empty-handed! Call us and order one or more of our delicious platters: choose from the Sandwich Platter, the 16″ Ring Sandwich, the Cold Cut Buffet, the Brown Bag Buffet, the Smoked Fish Platter or the Lox Platter.
If you’re invited to one, why not call up Benjies the day before to order up a few of their delicious platters. That way you won’t miss any of the Superbowl action. Get Hot Wings or Barbeque Meatballs by the dozen, or choose from one of our many sandwich trays. Want the sandwiches ready to eat? Try the Sandwich Platter or the 16″ Ring Sandwich. Want to give your guests the option of making their own? No problem: order the Cold Cut Buffet, the Brown Bag Buffet, the Smoked Fish Platter or the Lox Platter. Mini sandwiches are always a bit hit at these parties, too, especially with kids and those who don’t want to fill up with a big Benjies sandwich.
We also have some lighter options too, like fruit trays, or vegetable trays. These are great to make sure that you have something for vegetarians and vegans—it’s SoCal after all, and you want everyone to feel welcome, even if they’re not going to eat the Hot Wings or hamburgers.
Ready to place your order? Call (714) 541-6263 and ask for Lloyd, Noriko or Chanele to make a catering order, or just come on in and sit down for a fantastic meal—we’ll cook it fresh for you.

With a little less than a week left until the Super Bowl Sunday, you know Benjies Deli is gearing up and getting excited! Last week’s games were absolutely unbelievable—49ers were so close to going to the Super Bowl, but those fumbles by Kyle Williams really set them back. It was a great run for the 49ers though, and a fantastic season. Can you imagine what a game that would have been, the 49ers versus the Ravens?! Anyway, we digress…
So they meet again, the New York Giants and the New England Patriots, face-to-face since that epic matchup in 2008 where the Giants upset the undefeated Pats. (more…)

Know why big companies and corporations like Google provide on-site food options for their employees? Statistics have shown that aside from caring for their employees’ well being (of course), employers choose to provide on-site lunch options for their employees to increase productivity. Workers who eat on campus feel happy to have a free meal provided by the bosses, and are in turn likely to be happier when they return to their desks and work.
Come watch Major League Baseball with Benjies Deli! At our Bamboo Lounge, we have six wide-screen TVs hoisted up at all angles so you won’t have to miss a triple play or home run! Now that the interleague plays are done, we see that the National League ranking still remains the same—The Indians, Angels and Cardinals are coming up this week (despite having trouble earlier in the season during June). Right now the Phillies are leading in the power rankings, followed closely by the Yankees and Red Sox. Our very own Angels sit high on that list too, at number eight out of 30. Over on the American League side, Boston is currently taking the lead, although many other teams are surprisingly coming up and contending for the title. It’s too early to predict who will make it to the World Series, but it’s looking like an action-packed season so far.
All throughout the country, schools are shutting their doors in anticipation of the summer holiday and semesters are ending, leaving the graduating class to close a chapter of their lives. Benjies Deli would like to take a moment to congratulate the class of 2011 for having come this far and accomplishing their goals and overcoming whatever obstacles they had to get where they are today. From high school students moving onto their collegiate career, undergraduate students who are now preparing to face the “real world”, to even older people who returned to school from a hiatus in between: congratulations from Benjies Deli!
All of that hard work cannot go unrecognized. Of course, a celebratory meal is in order, so why not join Benjies Deli for a bite of our delicious, world-famous Reuben—corned beef, swiss cheese and sauerkraut grilled on rye bread and served with a heaping side of potato salad—to toast to your accomplishments?
